Homemade brandies and brandies from Prekmurje
St. Stefan Distillery is a story that has matured over many years and has become firmly anchored in tradition Prekmurje winegrowing. Our land has always been used for brewing and producing wine and fruit brandy, which is part of the region's rich heritage.
As part of Lovenjakov dvor, we wanted to add something special – brandy, which is semantically strong and high-quality. Thus the idea of brandies, locally known as “cognacs”, was born, and our stables, dedicated to the saint St. Stephen, the patron saint of horses, cellarers, and coopers – everything that is crucial in the maturation of brandy and whiskey.
